Bergenfield's Kessel Associates evolved from a structural steel contracting firm founded in 1907 into one of New Jersey's leading industrial and office real estate developers. Formed in 1975, the company has completed more than one million square feet of multi-tenant, high-tech commercial projects in northern New Jersey. The firm, which also owns and manages several residential properties, handles all phases of development including planning, marketing, construction and property management in-house.

George Kessel founded Kessel Associates and guided it's impressive growth through two decades and remains involved in the company's operations. Today, principals Jeffrey and Steven Kessel manage the firm's day-to-day functions, representing the third generation in this family-owned and operated organization. The company remains one of the most active real estate companies in Northern New Jersey, with an impressive track record that includes such accolades as the New Jersey Business and Industry Association's (NJBIA) New Good Neighbor Award and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties' (NAIOP) Developer of the Year.
